Introduction to the Bonn Dialogues Event Series Print E-mail
The Bonn Dialogues Series on Global Environmental Change is a forum for discussing substantive issues related to anthropogenic drivers and consequences. Being held twice a year since 2007, the series addresses topics such as climate, water, energy, and food with an interdisciplinary approach.

The Bonn Dialogues Series are expert panel discussions open to the general public. The meetings address prominent scientific, political and public discourses and raise awareness for issues connected to environmental change.

The first event entitled “Climate Change: Control, Adapt or Flee?” took place on 17 April 2007. Since then, the semi-annual series has gained popularity among experts and the regional audience due to its relevant and urgent topics on Global Environmental Change. After every event, refreshments are kindly provided by the City of Bonn. Furthermore, experts and participants have herewith the opportunity to join a “Meet and Greet” with the experts involved and exchange views on the discussed topics.

The venue of the Bonn Dialogues Series events varies. However, the Deutsche Welle, the Germany’s international broadcaster, hosts the Bonn Dialogues events on a regular basis and supports the Series by providing a moderator.

All events are free of charge and open to the public. Registration, while not required, helps in the organisation of the event, and is therefore desired.
