On the panel four experts expressed their views: Niels Einarsson from the Stefansson Arctic Institute in Iceland, Klaus Liedtke, Chief Editor of National Geographic Germany, Prof. R. S. Ramakrishnan from the School of Environmental Science at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in India and Wilfried Haeberli from the University of Zurich, who filled in for MinDir Jochen Flasbarth.

Avoid the Unmanageable and Manage the Unavoidable

The 2nd Bonn Dialogue entitled Melting Ice and Vanishing Life took place on 27 November 2007 at the UN Campus in Bonn, Germany. Over 20 experts from all over the world came to discuss the pressing topic and exchange views. The overall outcome was, that science`s task is to help avoiding the unmanageable and managing the unavoidable.
