A development sociologist, with a Ph.D. in Southeast Asian Studies, Wolfgang Jamann has worked over 20 years in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. From 2004 to 2009 he was National Director of CARE Deutschland-Luxemburg, a subsidiary of CARE International, which is represented in over 70 countries around the world. Before that he was head of programs for World Vision Sudan, regional representative to the East Africa Region, and team leader humanitarian assistance at WV Germany. |

Gernot Klepper, born in 1951, holds a Diploma in Economics from the University of Heidelberg, a Master and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky, USA.
Gernot Klepper started his career at the South Asia Institute of the University of Heidelberg and at the University of Mannheim. He joined the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in 1984. His research interests first were oriented towards industrial and trade policy issues and later towards environmental and resource allocation problems. From 1995 to 2005 he was Head of the Research Department “Environmental and Resource Economics” at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Currently he is coordinator of the Kiel Institute’s Research Programme “Economic Policies for Sustainable Development”. His main research interests centre around climate change and mitigation strategies, the use of different energy sources, and sustainable development.

Carlo Jaeger, born 1947 in Switzerland, is Professor of Economy at the University Potsdam. He is Head of the Social Systems Department at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. He studied Sociology and Ecology in Bern and Frankfurt as well as at the ETH Zurich, and lectured at the University in Zürich, Frankfurt and TU Darmstadt . Carlo Jaeger is President of the European Climate Forum. |
